About

As of 7-10-2015, I am a 56 year old gay man with a spouse of 23+ years. We have an adopted (at birth) son currently in the NYC Public School system in the 6th grade.

My contact is gaynycdad@aol.com

I have 2 Facebook pages: Mitch_GayNYCDad friend page (over 4920 friends, many of whom are US parent bloggers with very large followings) and the GayNYCDad business page (over 7000 “likes”).

I am on Twitter (over 24,000 followers) where I am a paid Twitter panelist and co-host. I have worked with Proctor and Gamble (P&G), Best Buy, CVS, LifeofDad.com, and KidzVuz.com. Email me for pricing.

My other social media presence includes Pinterest (over 5200 followers). My Instagram account has over 5020 followers. I am also on Google Plus and have over 1640 followers there. My Klout score hovers in the mid 70’s.

I am looking for products for review (we do not accept loaners for review) and /or giveaways. My 11 1/2 year old son also assists me in most toy and video game reviews. Our YouTube page has over 970 subscribers and over 339,000 views. He also does blogs and vlogs for  www.kidzvuz.com, as well as having recently started his own blog, KidsRuleNYC.com.

I am also looking for advertisers and invites to events that I may write about on my blog. I am always honest in my reviews.

Hi!I am fairly new to your blog and I love the way you write.

I just finished reading Our son is 4 days old! And growing! and it was a joy to read. It brought back memories of being a parent for the first time.

Great Blog. I love that you cover so many different areas from the giveaways and reviews and coupons, the adoption. Man you got it going on

I found your blog today after seeing your comment on the article “How New York Legalized Gay Marriage” by the Huffington Post. You’re right about the federal benefits, but this win in NY is so important and I congratulate you and your family!

I’m in AZ so I don’t even have state benefits. :-( My partner and I will be in NY in October so we are already planning our wedding. We had our own ceremony here a few years ago, but we want our piece of paper that so many people have worked hard to make available to us.

I’m thrilled to have found such a wonderful blog and I will definitely be keeping up with it.

I think that what you do is really great! I also think it was extremely cool of actor Matthew Bomer to be so forthcoming about his personal life, as an example, like you, of someone in today’s modern society who can be an inspiration as both successful in career and family.

Here’s wishing you much success with your blog and can I just say that I really appreciate that your contests don’t require us to follow, friend, subscribe, ect to 200 to 300 people just to enter. I get so confused with those and it is just too time consuming and you know what I realized by coming here today? Just how much I miss the old style type of bloggers especially when it pertains to the contests. Your blog feels homey and cozy if that makes sense. Anyhow, I am Kristi from Florida and I have 1 26 yr old son Christopher. Look forward to visiting again, have a good evening! :)

I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not
seeing very good success. If you know of any please share.

  1. […] Gay NYC Dad-The very first person I met was Mitch from Gay NYC Dad. I introduced myself, held out my hand, and he embraced me in a HUGE bear hug. Totally broke the ice for the whole event. I told him about my blog and mentioned that it was very small. He immediately shushed me and told me his story as a blogger. After that I no longer felt unworthy of being among so many great bloggers. […]
