About

As of 2-11-2013, I am a 53 year old gay man with a spouse of 20 years. We have an adopted (at birth) son currently in the NYC Public School system in 4th grade.

My contact is gaynycdad@aol.com

I have 2 Facebook pages: Mitch_GayNYCDad friend page (over 4900 friends) and the GayNYCDad “Like” page (over 3900 “likes”).

I am also on Twitter (over 9300 followers) and Pinterest (over 1700 followers). My Klout score hovers in the mid 70′s. My new Instagram account has over 200 followers.

I am looking for products for review (we do not accept loaners for review) and /or giveaways. My 9 year old son also assists me in most toy and video reviews, and they always include a video for the post and our YouTube page (over 150,000 views). My 9 year old son also does blogs and vlogs for  www.kidzvuz.com.

I am also looking for advertisers and invites to events that I may write about on my blog. I am always honest in my reviews.

Hi!I am fairly new to your blog and I love the way you write.

I just finished reading Our son is 4 days old! And growing! and it was a joy to read. It brought back memories of being a parent for the first time.

Great Blog. I love that you cover so many different areas from the giveaways and reviews and coupons, the adoption. Man you got it going on

I found your blog today after seeing your comment on the article “How New York Legalized Gay Marriage” by the Huffington Post. You’re right about the federal benefits, but this win in NY is so important and I congratulate you and your family!

I’m in AZ so I don’t even have state benefits. :-( My partner and I will be in NY in October so we are already planning our wedding. We had our own ceremony here a few years ago, but we want our piece of paper that so many people have worked hard to make available to us.

I’m thrilled to have found such a wonderful blog and I will definitely be keeping up with it.

I think that what you do is really great! I also think it was extremely cool of actor Matthew Bomer to be so forthcoming about his personal life, as an example, like you, of someone in today’s modern society who can be an inspiration as both successful in career and family.

Here’s wishing you much success with your blog and can I just say that I really appreciate that your contests don’t require us to follow, friend, subscribe, ect to 200 to 300 people just to enter. I get so confused with those and it is just too time consuming and you know what I realized by coming here today? Just how much I miss the old style type of bloggers especially when it pertains to the contests. Your blog feels homey and cozy if that makes sense. Anyhow, I am Kristi from Florida and I have 1 26 yr old son Christopher. Look forward to visiting again, have a good evening! :)

  1. [...] Gay NYC Dad-The very first person I met was Mitch from Gay NYC Dad. I introduced myself, held out my hand, and he embraced me in a HUGE bear hug. Totally broke the ice for the whole event. I told him about my blog and mentioned that it was very small. He immediately shushed me and told me his story as a blogger. After that I no longer felt unworthy of being among so many great bloggers. [...]
