It’s time for Christmas in July 2026! We love advent calendars so much! Counting down the days to anything is exciting, but the Christmas calendars this year are stunning. You’re going to love these. And our first review is a crossover with our fine art in toys series! The Fine Art Christmas Advent Calendar from Eurographics Arts & Puzzles is a jigsaw-puzzle-a-day advent calendar. While not explicitly Christmas-themed, these daily puzzles include some of the world’s greatest masterpieces.
The Eurographics Fine Art Christmas Advent Calendar is a 24-day advent calendar. It includes 24 small, numbered boxes, each of which contains a single complete puzzle. Each of the individual puzzles is 50 pieces that are approximately 1 inch. Each day’s box includes the pieces for that day and on the sides of the box, you’ll find information about the artwork (including where the original is currently housed, in case you want to build your travel or museum wish list), the artist, and the image of the puzzle, which helps if you are sharing the calendar and want to claim certain artworks to complete.
TOP TIP: Each day’s puzzle pieces are in a zipper-locked plastic bag, so make sure you don’t lose that. It’s the perfect way to store the pieces for next year.
This is a great activity advent calendar. The puzzles are small enough that they don’t take much time, so they can be an early morning or even bedtime activity. The frames on the box cover are not part of the images, though, so be prepared for that. It would be a cute addition to the advent calendar to have a framed sticker backing for each puzzle. (hint, hint) Each of the puzzles is in glorious color and so detailed that you can even see the brush strokes if you look closely. The age range is 9+, so if you include your littles, be sure to supervise closely.
TOP TIP: In addition to being an excellent advent calendar, with beautiful images to piece together, Eurographics Art & Puzzles Fine Art Christmas Advent Calendar is a great way to introduce fine art to your littles. You can extend the activity to learning more about each artwork, artist, artistic style, etc.
