Avatar: Fire and Ash Is Out On Friday, Dec 19th!![]()
Another Avatar movie? Well, considering how much I enjoyed the second one, I am all in for this one! As much as I enjoyed the first Avatar movie, I remember not having high hopes for the second installment, and then it blew me away. I was mesmerized for the entire multi hour long extravaganza! So, knowing the brilliance of James Cameron does not disappoint, I could not wait for this third installment of the Avatar saga!
Ans I was correct. This movie was visually stunning. The flora and fauna, especially in 3D was fantastic. It was all so beautiful. The opening was fantastic, just live being on the Walt Disney World ride in Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage, except this one did not make me queasy! I love the relationship of the movies to Pandora at the Disney Parks!
The basic story remains the same. Earth folk want to steal the natural resources of this amazing planet where everything lives in a wonderful symbiosis. And the movie tarted off with James Cameon showing us how the actors were digitally connected to the movie, there was no animation here. We saw the actors with their digital pieces and saw how they worked it through. It was quite interesting!
James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. The film, which has a screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and a story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno, also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans, Jr., and Kate Winslet.
In this movie there are additional baddies to contend with, and the war scenes are brutal, so not for the younger kids. The story is updated enough as to not be too similar to the last movie. And so well done, I cannot wait for the next one!We also get to see the planets inhabitants, and the planet itself, work more closely with our protagonists!
“Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third film in the phenomenally successful “Avatar” franchise, opens exclusively in theaters worldwide December 19, 2025.
Runtime: 3hrs 17mins Rating: PG-13
And look, a celeb pic! Edie Falco, the General from the movie and moi!
And, OMG, was I an extra in the movie!
