Delicious Food Delivered was created by Theresa Nemetz as a complement to her culinary-based travel business, Travel Deliciously. Delicious Food Delivered curates advent calendars full of goodies from 42 states and regions. The boxes are huge and the windows are stuffed with sweets and snacks local to the destination. As a member of a military family, I was thrilled to receive the California box for this review, because it was my home state twice, my residence of record when we were stationed overseas, and both my parents came from California, so we have relatives all up and down the state.
The Delicious Food Delivered Advent Calendars have 24 windows. #TeamDelicious finds treats from small businesses all around the state or region of the box, promoting local and small businesses to create a wonderful experience for families of any size to enjoy. As always, this is a spoiler-free review, so we’re only showing you one window’s contents. You can see in the picture that these are full-sized packages, not just small samples, so they’re great for sharing, too.
The inside cover of the box has a QR code that takes you to the Delicious Food Delivered website where you can learn more about the treats in the advent calendar. Find your box in the drop-down list and you’ll see a list of the treats in your box. The list includes the names of the vendors, along with URLs, so you can buy more of your favorites.
TOP TIP: Find a Delicious Food Delivered buddy! You give each other a different state’s advent calendar, so you can each check the lists of the other’s advent calendar goodies.
Delicious Food Delivered Advent Calendars are great gifts for just about anyone: people who miss their hometown, people who are moving to (so they know where to find tasty treats); students who are homesick, students who love their college state and people who can’t/don’t travel, but have dreams of hitting the road. Speaking of hitting the road, there’s a Route 66 box, which must be amazing!
