The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season Three
In the third season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” our cast of characters is moving through Europe and are now in Spain. Daryl and Carol are still trying to return home, facing new troubles in Spain. And where is Laurent!

Melissa McBride unfortunately did not make it to NYComicCon for these interviews, but everyone agreed that the relationship between Carol and Daryl had evolved since the early episodes of The Walking Dead, they had developed a genuine earned relationship that has last almost two decades.
Daryl shared how since the early days, the original show started out feeling like an independent movie, that became so popular, the industry took over, and it became an entity unto itself. Norman is thrilled to be in this series, it feels like the old days, a more intimate story with a far less crazy than what the original show had morphed into. This show reminds him of the early days of The Walking Dead.
Norman talked about the early days when al lot of the actors were friends and would visit each other in their trailers, and how that drifted away as various characters were killed off. He enjoyed the reminiscing as he shared that all of his friends were gone! He also spoke about his characters maturation from the beginning, his relationship with his brother Merle, and how he became a better man once Merle was dead, becoming the man, he was intended to be, which may not have been the original thought for his character, but one that has surely worked well in these various series.
Scott Gimple is the Chief Content Officer of the Walking Dead Universe. Wow. He has been part of the Walking Dead Universe since 2011 and oversees all of the spin-offs. He is the expert! He has been especially excited about this series as it has given everyone the opportunity to expand the universe in new and exciting ways, traveling through Europe and showcasing a different experience than what we were used to. Spoiler alert, if things continue as they are with the popularity of the new shows, expect that these folks are still working diligently to continue to bring us more new and exciting aspects of this Zombie world.
Scott also weighed in on the relationship between Norman and Melissa, saying from the first seasons you could see that the connection between the two was instant. There’s is a long and lasting relationship in this TV universe!
