The Kaddo Cat Family Christmas Lift the Flip Jigsaw Puzzle includes 76 puzzle pieces with 12 flaps in a festively-patterned gift bag and a storybook with activities. The Cat Family Christmas jigsaw puzzle is based on the Cat Family Christmas story by Lucy Brownridge and the puzzle is charmingly illustrated by Eunyoung Seo. This could be the start of a lovely new Christmas tradition for you and your littles.
First, you have to put the puzzle together. There are 76 fairly-large puzzle pieces, including 12 lift-the-flap windows within the image. The image is of the Cat family preparing for their Christmas celebrations and it’s as sweet as can be.
Once the puzzle has been completed, you and your littles can celebrate the 12 days leading up to Christmas by reading the story book together, opening the flaps to see the hidden images, and doing the daily activities in the booklet. The 12th day is Christmas Eve, so you’ll want to start on December 13th.
TOP TIP: If you want to complete the activities in the book, be sure to read the booklet through first, so you can either simulate or actually complete the activities on the days in question. I say simulate, because some of the activities are things my family would have already done by the date in question, such as baking cookies and decorating, so be sure to save at least of portion of each task to complete with your littles that day.
The Cat Family Christmas Lift the Flap Jigsaw Puzzle is published by Kaddo, an imprint of The Quarto Book. It’s for ages 4 and up, because of the jigsaw pieces. The story and the puzzle are so sweet and your littles will really love it, but it might be too young for your older kids. Because of the activities in the booklet, I would open these in the morning, so you can do the activities during the day.

TOP TIP: You could include your older children by letting this advent puzzle be something they do with their younger siblings, while you watch (and take photos for next year’s Christmas cards).
