Marvel Studios Thunderbolts only in Theaters May 2!

Saw the movie in previews! I absolutely love Julia Louis Dreyfus as Valentina! The Marvel Universe’s biggest control Queen, she is perfect! Never missing a moment to guide the narrative to her plan, she was terrific.

In “Thunderbolts*” Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes—Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?

Marvel Studios Thunderbolts is a little different from most Marvel movies. There is a depth to the film that we have not seen before in regard to mental health, redemption, and so many bad guys making decision to work together, for the betterment of society. Florence Pugh is the standout in this movie as her character goes through the full range of life choices and what direction she thinks she wants to shift to for her future.

This ragtag group of “anti-heroes” come together in ways we would not have suspected was possible making this one of the more introspective Marvel movies we have seen up until now, mixed with the usual great sense of humor the writers tend to imbue in these movies.

I highly recommend this movie. I was entertained throughout and loved the plot and the direction of this new Marvel era. And of course, after the first humorous Easter egg, we get the real egg, what is coming in the future. It is not a real surprise, but it is an exciting one! Plus, I saw Thunderbolts in IMAX, and it always adds to the experience!!
