Walt Disney World Secrets Revealed!
Walt Disney World Secrets Revealed by Mitch!
- Those two new Star Wars rides in Hollywood Studios now have single rider lines. Wow, what a great way for you to save time, you do cut some of the pre-show material, but if you have done the ride already, it is better to save time! This saved me from buying the fast pass! Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance are still the hottest rides in the Studios, what a great way to save time!
- The Photo Pass remains my top priority for taking great character shots, and even better, magic shots! There are two studios for you to take advantage of as well, and many people have no idea! In Magic Kingdom, follow the folks from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to the photo studio on the other side of the castle from the boutique. I always go in and ask for all their magic shots. There is also a studio in Disney Springs! And they also offer different magic shots as well as a way to do family photos with some different backgrounds. All included!
- I need a partner for the new Tiana water ride, that last drop makes me nervous, but look, I met Tiana!
- In the back of Morocco in EPCOT there have been lounges set up for some of us to enjoy! My friend Meg posts updates on her site, so follow her for the info, First it was an annual passholder lounge where I got a drink and a snack, and a photo with Aladdin, this trip it was sponsored by a healthcare company who require you to sign up and show proof in order to access the lounge (for anyone, not just passholders this time, but no photo opp). I needed the ice coffee they were serving, and an air-conditioned room to rest in for the rest of my day!
- My new hotel of choice is the Residence Inn at Flamingo Crossings. Great pricing for a room, it is next to a small outdoor mall with some food choices, a Target, and a Walgreens, and breakfast is free! I got upgraded to a 2 bedroom from a studio because I am a Marriott Bonvoy gold memeber thanks to my Amex Platinum card (which ends up being free, DM me for my code after reading this article!)
- I have an Annual Pass and trave solo many times now, and before I leave, I post in several FB groups to alert anyone who knows me! One of my FB friends, who I had never met in real life, texted and said he was popping into EPCOT to see Sheila E. perform. First, I had no idea she was performing (and yes, when she asked for dancers in the audience, I ran up!), second, I made a new friend in real life whose husband does not have an Annual Pass, so he can meet me in the future! It will be more fun t meet a friend for Fantasmic the next time I travel to WDW, and who knows what other scoops he will have for me! Plus, he showed me how to ride the Skyliner from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios, which is a fun ride in the sky for free!
- Lastly, try new things! Last annual pass I made it to WDW four times. Finally, I was able to schedule a walk with the elephants in Animal Kingdom, less than $40, it was wonderful to see my big friends up close! Next to try for is the Rhino Walk which fills up quickly, but I found a trick to booking for those of you are staying on property and booking over 60 days in advance!
