Add a surprising element in the game play of Stratego to turn your luck and add strategic choices:
-Each player has the same set of 15 cards in 3 categories: 6 attack, 3 defence 6 move.
-Move cards influence the way that you can get around the battlefield. For example, jump over another piece, cross the lakes, move diagonally or further. A Move card is always played first.
-An Attack card influences the way you take on your opponent and is always played last if you decided to play a Move card. For example, promote the rank of a piece instantly, mock attack, armour or spy attack.
-You may only use Defence cards when you’re being attacked – never when you are attacking an opponent. Promote your piece their rank upon being attacked.
-At the start of the game each player takes 3 cards. During your turn you can play a maximum of one card of each type. At the end of your turn you can take a card if you have fewer than 3. Once a card is played it goes out of the game.
