Exploding Kittens Catchables Game Review!
Have you ever played Jacks? It’s an old-time game of hand-to-eye coordination that involves tossing a ball in the air and picking up an increasing number of jacks (spiky metal pieces about an inch in size) with each toss of the ball. You have to be deft enough to toss the ball to the right height so you can pick up the correct number of jacks (no more, no less) and then catch the ball before it hits the ground. If that sounds fun, just wait until you hear about Exploding Kittens Catchables!
What’s in the box?
There are two ways to buy Exploding Kittens Catchables: a 2-pack box and a 4-pack box. Both are exclusively at Walmart. The 2-pack box includes two Catchables (in our case, we have Caterina and Catastrophe) plus 12 action cards for each Catchable. The 4-pack box includes four Catchables and 12 action cards for each Catchable. And don’t worry – these are not blind boxes, so you’ll be able to choose the Catchables you want and be able to build your collection without too many duplicates, depending on availability in your shops. There were also two small zipper-lock bags in the box that could fit either a Catchable card set or, if you squished them a bit, a Catchable. I’m not really sure what they’re for, but you’ll find a use.
How to play Exploding Kittens Catchables
Exploding Kittens Catchables is simple in concept, but requires coordination, timing, and determination. Each player has their own Catchable and 12 action cards. Each player chooses four of their own action cards to be their starting hand, then the remaining action cards from both players are shuffled together to make the draw deck. There should also be space for a discard pile.
Each player chooses one of their action cards, ideally an action they can complete easily, and places it face-up in play space. The first player then has to throw their Catchable in the air and then complete the actions on each of the cards in their play space and then catch the Catchable before it hits the ground. On the first turn, it’ll be relatively easy, especially because you have three tries, each turn. For example, If your action card says “Tap Knee” you have to throw the Catchable, tap your knee, then catch the Catchable. If you have two “Tap Knee” cards and a “Tap Butt” card, you have to throw the Catchable, tap your knee twice, tap your butt, then catch the Catchable. It may take a few turns to figure out just how high you need to throw your Catchable to be able to complete the catch, but that’s why you get three chances each turn. Use them wisely!
TOP TIP: If you have two cards that are the same action that can be completed simultaneously by using both hands, that will count for both action cards. For example, if you have two “Tap Knee” cards, you can throw the Catchable, tap both knees with your hands, then catch the Catchable, and you will have completed the same action twice in the time it takes to complete it once.
If you do complete all of the actions, including catching the Catchable before it hits the ground (or any other surface), you get to give an action card from your hand to two separate players to add to their play space, meaning they’ll have to add that action to their catch on their next turn. If there are only two players, you give one action card to your opponent and one to yourself, so choose carefully.
If you can’t complete all of the actions, including catching the Catchable before it hits the ground, you get to pick on of the action cards in your play space and discard it. It’ll make your next turn a little easier, but you’ll need more turns to win.
After your Catchable Catch attempt, you draw cards from the Draw pile until you have three cards in your hand. If you already have at least three cards, you don’t draw.
TOP TIP: We set our game up on a tv tray to we’d have more room to complete our actions.

How to Win Exploding Kittens Catchables
Play continues clockwise until someone manages to catch their Catchable after completing five actions. You may have more than five action cards by the time your turn comes around, if the other player(s) makes their Catchable Catch, so you will have to complete ALL of the actions on the cards to win, even if it’s more than five.
Exploding Kittens Catchables is, essentially, extreme, total-body Jacks. If you want to burn off a bit of energy at the end of the day or right before naptime, this is the game to play. Make sure you have plenty of space to complete the actions and have fun! The game is designed for players 8 and up and should take about 10 minutes. As many players as have Catchables can play, so invite all your friends. If more than one of you have the same Catchable, just separate the players with the same Catchables by as many players as possible.
TOP TIP: The Action cards are marked by Catchable, so you shouldn’t have any trouble separating the discard decks at the end of the game. This will come in very handy when friends bring their sets together and then have to separate them when they stop playing.

This looks absolutely perfect. All these tinny details are made with lot of background knowledge. I like it a lot. This was a useful post and I think it is rather easy to see from the other comments as well that this post is well written and useful.
