One of the best and most interesting rides in the Disney Parks, is coming to life on the big screen. After many years of enjoying the ride, there are so many back stories to discover that make the ride more interesting, it was great to see how they play out in a movie. PS Madame Leota is my girl!
It’s a cute movie with a lot of good humor. A lot of laughs along the way as we see how the real Haunted Mansion came to be! Evil lurks within! For those of us who love the ride, the parts of the movie that replicated the ride were wonderful, and the movie came up with some wonderful back stories.
Rosario Dawson’s character buys a spooky old house in the New Orleans area with her young son. Trouble starts from the moment they enter the house. Spirits abound. And this small family is trapped and need help. A motley crew of “ghostbuster types” forms and begins to try to find out why the spirits are stuck in the mansion. The movie is fun and funny. And my favorite parts are those that are most inspired by one of my favorite Disney Parks attractions, the Haunted Mansion!
Everyone was excellent! LaKeith Stanfield was wonderful, he carried all of the scenes he was in. And I am a huge fan of Tiffany Haddish, especially when she plays characters that are over the top, in fact, she could have gone further if the directors let her! She is fabulous. And again, Madame Leota is my favorite, and Jamie Lee was fantastic. PS, the costumes for Tiffany and Jamie Lee were wonderfully over the top!

You’re going to be more likely to want to reach out to them or check in on their social media accounts if you’re at home alone.
