Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!
The Guardians movie franchise will always be special to me as I was lucky enough to participate in the movie junket for the first movie, invited by Disney. No one knew how it would fare as it was from a lesser-known Marvel comic, and it was a gamble. The excitement in the movie theater when the preview ended was one of utter delight and sheer joy. I still tear up when I see it!
Now it is time for the trilogy to close. I previewed this last chapter of our Guardian friends, and it was amazing. James Gunn is going out with a bang. A huge spectacle, this is almost as good as the first movie. We get Rocket’s backstory, almost no surprises there, and some things get wrapped up (no spoilers!). Turns out Rocket’s creator wants him back. Took him long enough! In that kidnapping event, Rocket receives life threatening injuries. The rest of the story is finding his creator to bypass circuitry that is designed to prevent anyone from learning how Rocket was made, proprietary information an all! We get some new characters, the usual fight scenes, raised to a spectacular level of course, and the story is a wrap! Or is it?
The music is even better in this last installment. When “Reasons” started to play, the goose bumps took over my body. I will sorely miss this team; they have made three terrific movies together! These Guardians will always be my heroes!
This movie has to be seen on the big screen; it is phenomenal:
In Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them. The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter and Maria Bakalova. James Gunn is the director and also wrote the screenplay. Kevin Feige produces with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Sara Smith, and Simon Hatt serving as executive producers. Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” opens in U.S. theaters on May 5.

Celeb Photos from the first Guardians junket, but first:
Karen Gillan, she is Nebula! I met her at the Thor: Dark World Premiere, she was fresh off of her filming the first Guardians movie, hence the short hair growing in from her shaved head for this Guardians role. I knew her from her time as a Doctor Who companion!
I met all the Guardians of the Galaxy three years ago for the first movie! Chris Pratt is at the top of the pic!
Can you see me with Chris Pratt? He and I are just looking at each other!
There’s Drax the Destroyer! Dave Bautista was such a cool interview! He put our picture on his Facebook page while we were interviewing him!
Zoe Saldana was absolutely fabulous!
Vin Diesel, He is Groot!
Director James Gunn! The real star who brought this great franchise to the screen in the original blockbuster!
