Book Club: The Next Chapter Opens Nationwide In-Theaters on Friday, May 12th!
I saw the movie! I laughed throughout! This movie is highly entertaining!
Jen, my movie date, looked at me after the movie and said she doesn’t think she has ever heard me laugh that much during a movie. There were many one liners, funny quips, and sassy remarks. And they were all well written! It was an odd group of actresses that didn’t convince me 100% that they would really be friends in real life, so there was a lack of complete plausibility for me, unlike 80 for Brady which had a similar set of four older female friends, but they made it work. It is a personal thing, but it is hard to see Candice Bergen, who I only know as Murphy Brown, as a warmish friend to three other ladies. And as much as I love Jane Fonda, and all the work she continues to do while about to hit her mid-80’s, they should have done a better job with her hair.
Highly entertaining, and then they go to Italy! Before we had a child, we went to Italy almost twice a year. It was wonderful to be back there with these ladies and enjoying their many adventures!
I recommend you see this movie!
The highly anticipated sequel follows our four best friends as they take their book club to Italy for the fun girls trip they never had. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.
