Stranger Things Day is November 6th, Sunday!
On November 6, 1983, Will Byers went missing in Hawkins, Indiana. Long after the town gave up the search, his friends kept looking… and discovered a mysterious girl known only by a number: Eleven. She was alone, hunted, and extremely powerful. Eleven would stop at nothing to help them find their friend.
Stranger Things fans everywhere celebrate November 6 as ‘Stranger Things Day,’ a special day to share their love for the series. At Netflix, they’re observing November 6 by rolling out the red carpet for Stranger Things fans. They’ll be teasing new and exclusive content on their social channels, hosting live fan experiences, virtual and in-person special screenings, and introducing limited edition merchandise online and in brick-and-mortar stores around the world!

Across the country, fans are encouraged to come dressed to impress in their favorite Stranger Things costume and prizes will be rewarded for best dressed! The series premiered on Netflix on July 15, 2016. Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the first season focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy (Will Byers) amid supernatural events occurring around the town, including the appearance of a girl with psychokinetic abilities (Eleven). The series stars an ensemble cast including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Cara Buono, Dacre Montgomery, and Maya Hawke.
Cara Buono plays Karen Wheeler. Her son is part of the gang that originally tried to find Will when he disappeared, and her daughter, Nancy, tries to help Mikey’s brother and family as well. Yes, my family and I had lunch with Cara and her family at an event. She is delightful!
