Marvel Studios Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Is Out Friday!
I love the character of Doctor Strange. This is just the type of mystical story that I have enjoyed since I was a pre-teen. Watching it on the big screen is a phenomenal experience.
This movie was spell bounding! What a wild ride as we journeyed though universes, and without a real guide!
Benedict is wonderful as usual. We get to see a remake of his love story from the first movie, just within a mixture of universes. It was quite sweet, within all the mayhem. And spoiler alert, there might be a zombie involved!
The other Bendict, Mr. Wong, is also terrific, I cannot get enough of him on the big screen. He is a great leader as he is the Sorcerer Supreme, and protector of Kamar-Taj.
The story centers around Xochitl Gomez who has the power to move between universes, but cannot control this power. I appreciate the Marvel powers that be for having here same sex parents showcased within this movie, so my son, and others with similar families, can see our family represented on the big screen.
In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
There is a lot to digest in this movie, a lot of mystical runes to see, and some heavy fighting making this at minimum PG-13. Not for the squeamish or younger audience. And you’ve heard there are Illuminati in this, so it is not a spoiler, and yes, John Krasinski is Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four.
And as always, the first Easter Egg left the entire theater gasping. You’ll have to read a spoiler as to why from someone else, that one I will not spoil. I will spoil Easter Egg two, it is not necessary to stay for that one, but it is funny.
Cast:
Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams!
The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
And here is a spoiler, buy you’ll have to figure it out!
