Death on the Nile Movie Is Out February 11!
We saw the movie last week. Wow. It was entertaining on so many levels:
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.

Firstly, seeing Egypt up close was amazing. The views of the pyramids, and other artifacts were incredible, even if only recreations. Secondly the period music of jazz and the blues were wonderful, Sophie Okonedo has a wonderful voice.
Then we have French & Saunders together again. I have been fans of their multiple works, together and apart, for decades.
This story has been told before, there are some surprises, and you may figure out some of the details surrounding the various “incidences.”
The acting is wonderful. Kenneth Branagh is perfect from start to finish, as is the rest of the cast. We couldn’t stop talking about the movie when it was over, this is one that is gripping, and everyone must see!
