Jungle Cruise from Disney Opens This Friday, July 30, 2021!
We saw the movie! I loved it! Have you ridden the actual Jungle Cruise in Walt Disney World? It felt like that ride, which is good since the movie is based on that boat excursion! And the Skipper in the movie is as corny as the Skipper’s on the WDW’s ride. And Trader Sam shows up as well!
This is an action adventure movie, good for tweens and up. Dwayne and Emily do a great job, and Jack Whitehall ( one of my favorite comedians from England), is terrific playing Emily’s brother. Such a dandy! The movie was very entertaining and is a great choice for the family this Summer. You may also notice that this movie celebrates diversity. Skipper makes fun of Dr. Lily’s pants, but in 1916, few women wore pants. Watch the movie for more!

There is a lot of action in this movie, from attacks by a German submarine, to demons in the jungle. And in the end… I can’t tell you!
Jaume Collet-Serra directs the film, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn are the producers, with Scott Sheldon and Doug Merrifield serving as executive producers. The story is by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa and Michael Green, and the screenplay is by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa. Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” releases in U.S. theaters on July 30, 2021
The movie was so much fun, I cannot wait to go back to Walt Disney World and ride the Jungle Cruise there again, multiple times to hear all the corny jokes and see all the animals in the jungle!
