Children’s Health Fund is an important organization that helps kids across our nation. This giveaway is part of an initiative to promote good oral health which in turn also supports our kid’s overall health!
Good oral health is a critical component of a child’s overall health and well-being. With the help of the Tooth Guardian, the interactive activities here teach children ages five to eight about brushing, flossing, and choosing healthy food options. As the Tooth Guardian says, “Taking care of your teeth is fun!” And, for a limited time, you can win an electric toothbrush!
Dental pain has been identified by Children’s Health Fund as a preventable health issue that has strong links to academic performance. The Guardians of the Smile is a program developed by The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® and Children’s Health Fund to teach children across the country about proper oral hygiene in fun and interactive ways. Today’s young students have enough distractions, they do not need the added issue of tooth pain to interfere with their school work!
Enter by November 30 to win one of five Philips Sonicare For Kids Sonic electric toothbrushes!
About the Children’s Health Fund:
-From South Los Angeles to the Mississippi Delta, from the South Bronx to Puerto Rico, Children’s Health Fund works towards a future where all children in the United States get the care and support they need to reach their full potential.
-The programs they support bring high-quality healthcare directly to children and families where they live, learn, and play. Through their Healthy and Ready to Learn initiative, they partner with New York City schools to address health barriers to learning, chronic absenteeism, and the impact of trauma on children.
-Children’s Health Fund (CHF) was created in 1987 with the launch of a mobile medical clinic to respond to the deplorable health conditions of children living in New York City homeless shelters. Today, they support a national network of 26 programs in 15 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico that deliver care through sites that include: clinics, schools, Head Start centers, community agencies, and homeless and domestic violence shelters.
-In addition to expanding access to programs that support health and well being, CHF responds to public health crises, such as floods, hurricanes, and pandemics like COVID-19.
-Since their inception, they have advocated on behalf of millions of our nation’s children and families facing barriers to medical care and social support. This advocacy has contributed to important policy gains that improve the quality of life for the communities they serve.
