Riviera Resort Walt Disney World
“Disney’s Riviera Resort is designed to capture the magic of Europe that Walt Disney fell in love with once upon a time.”
In fact, the resort has framed photos of Walt, Lillian, and other friends throughout. It is reassuring to see the man who dreamt and then brought all this magic to life, still watching over us!

The Riviera is lush, luxurious, and gorgeous:
In the main lobby, you’ll find yourself in an elegant setting appointed with a mix of modern and classic 20th-Century furnishings. You’ll also discover a unique art collection celebrating beloved Disney Characters and icons, influenced by master artists who found inspiration along the European Riviera.
The ambiance will extend outdoors—where beautiful gardens, bubbling fountains, lush landscaping and a serene waterfront will beckon you to enjoy scenic strolls with your loved ones.
It is a mix of regular bookings and a new DVC hotspot. It’s proximity to Epcot makes the location perfect for everyone. And it opens next week!
Click here to see my favorite Riviera Resorts videos from the Disney Resorts website, you will immediately be sold on this new and exclusive property!
One of the highlights of the new Riviera Resort is the gorgeous and delicious Topoloino’s restaurant. Did you know Topolino is French for Mickey Mouse! The restaurant offers a character breakfast with a French theme. And again, there is a ton of Riviera branded merchandise, I can’t wait to go back to shop – they have their own Riviera ears, you know those will sell out!! There are character plushes exclusive to this resort, similar to their French themed character counterparts walking around entertaining guests! And the food is gorgeous, I loved the entranceway, inviting me in with delicious pastas, cheeses, and olive oils!
Reservations are a must, but there is walk-in bar service where you can order food, and also an outdoor lounge area. Hint: You may be able to spot some fireworks in the distance at certain times of the night!
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is across from the Riviera Resort, both surrounding a 42-acre lake. There are paths leading from one to the other, and great scenic routes to enjoy a morning run! I wished we had time for the mile plus run to the other resort! Both properties are part of the Skyliner system, see my article with video on that ride! I loved walking through the archway through gorgeous mosaics on the way to ride our Gondola in the sky from the Riviera to Epcot:
Now might be the time to become a DVC member if you are not already! Remember to book your next adventure! Perhaps in the south of France via Orlando, Florida?
Disclosure: Disney Parks hosted me for a media event. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
I can’t wait to stay at this resort!
I miss Disney. But I’ve never stay at any of their resorts I will to stay on that one.

The Architecture of the building is superb! structure obviously celebrate the luxury and grandeur found within the countries of France and Italy which i LOVE… and above all, it is absolutely DISNEY!
Nnnniiiccceeeeee…I love your hint that you have given! Book now and who knows, I just might get to be in Toulouse, for example. I will remember to visit this resort.
It sure looks like an amazing resort! I would like to experience dining at Topolino’s and if the budget permits, maybe hop over to the adjacent resort too!
The resort looks amazing but we’re on a tight budget, We also use basic lodging- namely clean beds, bathroom, carpet, etc.
We plan to visit Disney World forever. But this year we just must go ahead with out plans. Riviera sounds like magical place to visit. Thanks for sharing all the tips and your experience.
