My family has had the Disney PhotoPass for several of our Walt Disney World vacations. Originally the pass gave you access to all the photos that the on-site Disney photographers took throughout the parks. That was a nice perk, and you could also ask them to use your camera and get the same pictures.
And then the MAGIC happened. First, you could request magic to be added to certain shots, I became obsessed and wrote entire pictorials of my experiences here. This trip I managed some terrific magic shots in Galaxy’s Edge:
And, even more exciting, a brand new type of magic exists in Galaxy’s Edge!
And then they even added short video scenes and I wrote another post a few years back, there are four amazing videos when you scroll down in this post! For this trip, I was in a holiday video on Main Street in Magic Kingdom!
And lastly, through the magic of Disney (OK, the magic of technology), a few years ago, the auto ride photos began to be automatically added to your PhotoPass account through your magic band, while on the ride! No longer did you have to wait for your photo to appear at the service desk and then ask for it to be added!
Every system has glitches on occasion. A quick call to customer service, and we got our magic! Disney is always working tirelessly on our behalf!
PhotoPass can cost up to $200, less if you purchase it beforehand. It was free for us the first time we used it, and we loved the features that were included so much, that we now buy it for every trip.
Lastly, at the end of our last day, we had some free time which we chose to spend in Magic Kingdom. I was with Mama’s Geeky and Meg For It, and one of them spotted a photographer. They know I am addicted to my PhotoPass. We met the smartest Disney photographer:
He recreated the iconic magic photo where they make it look like Disney balloons are going to take you away, and posed me, without my knowing, with real balloons! The he took a photo of our reflection in Meg’s sunglasses. For the finale he had the ladies photo bombing me as if I were taking a selfie. I have worked with dozens and dozens of Disney photographers, this fellow on Main Street was a genius in creating something new and special!

Disclosure: Disney Parks hosted me for a media event. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
Wait! I am addicted to my photo memories! Just one more collage!
