This is just the type of “Dad joke” that I will tell my son! Sometimes I am funny, sometimes I am not, but either way, I get my 16 year old teenagers attention! Jokes, good, bad, funny, or not, are a great way for families to bond, and one of my biggest tools to keep communication lines open with my too cool for school teen!
See you later alligator, in awhile crocodile.
I don’t aim to create jokes to make ONLY my kid laugh – I want to spread the amazing dad humor we all know and love with the help of my friends at Laffy Taffy…. That’s why, I’m teaming up with one of my favorite candy of all time – Laffy Taffy, an iconic candy brand with jokes on every wrapper and delicious fruity flavored taffy to see what other dad(s) have the best jokes!
Laffy Taffy is celebrating the month of Dad this June (Father’s Day was June 16) by partnering with parents.com with a contest! You could win up to a $2,000 credit for Amazon.com:
Parents is partnering with Laffy Taffy to celebrate laff-tastic dad jokes with an internet-wide search for the best ones. Think you have what it takes? Between June 7 and June 21, send in your favorite dad jokes for a chance to win one of five Amazon prize packs valued at up to $2,000. Laffy Taffy will feature the best quips on upcoming packaging, providing the ultimate in Father’s Day bragging rights! A winner will be announced on July 3. Click here for more info!
It makes sense because part of the fun of eating Laffy Taffy is reading the funny jokes on the wrapper! And who knows, if you send in a funny enough joke, you might see yourself on one of those wrappers!
One last thing:
Tim Burr. Get it, timber! You don’t even have to be my generation and know the actor Raymond Burr to get that one! This is when I hear a moaning of, “Oh dad!”
So enter the contest here, and keep it clean, and keep it funny:
–First and foremost, the jokes should be funny. Since the winners will be featured on Laffy Taffy wrappers, the set-up and punchline should be no more than 65 characters in length. Keep it G to PG rated. Please leave mentions of famous people or characters out of it and keep it free of political, religious, or otherwise divisive content. And above all, keep it clean, good-spirited, and family friendly (think of the children!). Otherwise, you’re free to pun to your heart’s content!
