Girlfriend Weekend Tips and Techniques
What is the making of a great girlfriend weekend, besides the girlfriend? Locations, activities and a nice place to chill and have those long girlfriend chats that bonds a relationship to soul sister level.
Myrtle Beach is the perfect place for a girlfriend weekend. North Myrtle Beach offers a relaxing stay for those choosing to travel without children. Walks on the beach, morning coffee on the balcony over looking the ocean was a perfect girlfriend retreat.
The Girlfriend Weekend Begins
Barb chose to arrive via the airport and my mode of transportation was a rental car. The car also gave us transportation to see the sites near our resort. I picked Barb up from the airport and we drove to The Caravelle Resort as invited guests to begin our amazing time together.
Friendly, friendly and friendly are my chosen words to describe the employees working here and we instantly recognized their motives were to make sure our time there was lovely and enjoyable.
I immediately saw the full kitchen when first walking into the condo and I had visions of fixing Barb and I some vegan suppers to enjoy either inside at the table or outside on the balcony as we watched the ocean.
A few events to attend on our stay did not distract from our girlfriend time. We would both love to go back and just stay on the property without leaving. The amenities in the room, closeness to the beach and available pools and hot tubs make this a perfect vacation spot.
Favorite Restaurant
The Santa Maria soon became our favorite restaurant. One of our favorite finds were some over-the-moon green fried tomatoes. I had mine as a sandwich. Barb enjoyed hers with a plate of Jambalaya.
To be honest, I was expecting high prices but the menu surprised me with affordable food. I appreciated the prices even though our meal was comped by the resort. I knew my husband and I could return to stay and have no problem affording the food when not fixing it in our room.
Taking Virtual Magic Mitch To Our Girlfriend Weekend
Pre-trip we knew we wanted to include Mitch on our adventure. After devising a plan and scouring his Facebook page, we found two of his photos that would give Mitch some time with us at the beach, and at the wax museum, filled with celebrities he may not already have in his photo albums. Barb printed the virtual Mitchs to easily packed in her suitcase.
So off we went to the wax museum with virtual Mitch by our side!
Our first attempt was a little lacking with me hiding behind the celeb holding Mitch.
It was Barb’s photography skills that brought the idea to fruition for these stellar moments:
Isn’t my picture with Mitch frame worthy? I think so! Sitting at the resort, we shared our photos with Mitch, so he could share our Myrtle Beach experience with us (note form Mitch, I was honored to be included!). Silliness like this just added to the girlfriend weekend while we enjoyed the great wifi connection at the resort to connect us with family and friends.
Our time together was perfect thanks to the comfort of The Caravelle Resort, friendly staff, easy access to the beach, great pools, Santa Maria restaurant and all the wonderful luxurious amenities!
