This is a great book for your middle schooler, and your high schooler!
The Adventurers Guild is by Nick Eliopulos and Zack Loran Clark. This book is recommended for ages 9-12, my son enjoyed it and I was happy to slip some lighter reading into his high school reading repertoire!

I love fantasy novels and have no trouble with reading at this level, good for middle school, high school, and even parents!
