“Honey, what do you want to do with the kids this weekend?”
“I don’t know, what do you want to do?”
“I don’t know, do you have a copy of the newspaper, or a local magazine?”
“No, I don’t, go look on the computer for something!”
This was our house when my son was younger. Always wondering what do to on the weekends to keep the kids entertained, to keep them active, and to provide outside activities for them to not produce a generation of couch potatoes.
Today, there is a perfect solution to the age old question, “What do we do with the kids today?” There is a fantastic new App called Acorn, and it can help you find an activity for the kids, and it can also help you book that activity! No other app offers both of these features.
“We’ve brought together everything that’s going on for children in one convenient app. Just type what you’re looking for into the field (our powerful free-text search is unique) and let Acorn do the rest. We’ve got you covered for fun whatever your budget, too – if you need an activity that’s low-cost or free, we’ll help you find it.”
The first step in this new easy-to-use app, is to download the free Acorn app onto your phone. Head to their website right now, and download it from the Apple App store or from Google Play!
I love the choices I have in my city!
Something for everyone, in every age group!
To be honest, we used to have an annual membership at the Bronx Zoo, one of my own favorite childhood spots to visit, but my child would have balked at the idea of heading over there every weekend! Acorn gives you choices!
Acorn is available in the following cities across the United States, with more being added all the time:
Santa Barbara / Santa Clara
And London, England!
They even have their own blog which is a great way to get party ideas, hear what other parents are up to, or read about summer camps. From local music lessons, to escape rooms appropriate for kids, to bounce farm fun, this app will help simplify every parent’s life!
Follow Acorn on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
