This is a compensated post for JCPenney.
Here in New York City we are still two full weeks away from the start of school! Now that I have a national network on Facebook I still find it shocking that folks will be heading to their first school vacation when we will just be starting!
I had the perfect afternoon with my teenage son shopping at JCPenney for his back to school needs. He is always in the best mood, and the dutiful son, when we are shopping for him! I’ll take it.
He needed an assortment of items for back to school, and he found everything he needed today.
There may have been sales and coupons, but that is not why we were at the store. They have the best range of affordable items for my family. My teenager is already wearing a size 13 shoe, and the hand me down dress shoes from one of his grandfather’s was no longer in the best shape. I loved letting him loose in the shoe department and having him find his own style! Especially when we agree on the styles that he chooses!
Another happy moment for dad as when Paul mentioned he needed slacks. The boy who wears sweatpants, jeans, and jeans with holes in them to school, and for everyday. There were a great amount of choices from Dockers for my tall son. Above are his dark grey and black pairs!
He loves the jeans from Arizona that taper at the bottom. This was a photo shoot that I was not allowed to attend, so you will have to trust me regarding the taper!
Last, but not least, the short sleeve shirt that he was looking for. My opinion doesn’t matter, but I was there when he sent a photo to his girlfriend who heartily approved of his purchases! That works!
Again, I was not allowed in the living room for this photo shoot. The blinds were drawn, the lamps were all moved, and the timer on Paul’s phone was set. He is clearly ready for his close-up!
I am wishing Paul lots of luck this school year. On a personal note I can remember when school started in September.
Everything looks great! He has just grown up right before our eyes. I hope he has a great school year, our schools have already started here. My Granddaughter goes to a charter school and they started a few weeks ago. Paul’s pictures look great, you just have a model on your hands and I know you are so proud! We love JC Penny’s also. We have been shopping there seems like forever. I’m so glad you and Paul had a great shopping trip. Those start getting few and far between at that age. I miss our little shopping excursions that I had with my Daughter. We always laughed so hard at silly things which made it all the better. Now our trips include the kiddies which are all the more fun. I guess I missed it, but tell Paul congratulations on his girlfriend. That’s great! Thanks for sharing with us.
Looks like Paul will be dressed for success as he starts school this year. I love the styles he chose and as a parent you can’t be the quality and prices at JcPenny’s.
Hè is totally ready isn t he! Good luck!
He is such a handsome young man. My grandson is going to graduate from high school this year. My gosh how time flies. We too shop at JCPenny for their bargains and they do have a lot of bargains this time of year.

I was so sad when the Penney’s near by closed about a year ago. That was our go to place for clothes shopping. We could find something for everyone at good prices.
Great pictures & a handsome guy! I love JCP, they have some great deals. When our girls were little, that’s where most of their clothes came from.
Paul looks great- very handsome! He has great style. I like JCP for clothes shopping- their prices are usually better than other department stores.
