We saw Peter Rabbit in the theater and it was terrific: James Corden (Into The Woods, Trolls) stars as the beloved rebellious rabbit in the contemporary feature film adaptation PETER RABBIT™, debuting on digital April 20and on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray and DVD May 1 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
I am a huge fan of James Corden, having discovered him while watching the British show he co-wrote and co-starred in, Gavin & Stacey. He is brilliant and very, very funny. I saw him at the interviews for “Into The Woods,” the movie, and it was a thrill! He announced then that he was going to be a talk show host, and I am also a huge fan of his late Night Show, the man is brilliant!
Experience all the mischief in McGregor’s garden with Corden voicing Peter Rabbit, Margot Robbie (I, Tonya, Suicide Squad) as Flopsy, Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2) as Mopsy, and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Cotton-tail. Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids, Spy) and Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ex Machina) also star as Bea and Mr. McGregor.
Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own cute, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden, with playful spirit and wild charm, voices the character of Peter, alongside Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Daisy Ridley voicing the roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray and Digital releases of PETER RABBIT ™is “Flopsy Turvy” –an all-new original mini movie featuring Peter’s precocious sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail, narrated by Margot Robbie as Flopsy. What a delightful move this sounds like. I had forgotten that James Corden was involved in Gavin & Stacy. I so enjoyed that show.

I was looking forward to watching this because I loved the movie, Miss Potter, based on the life of the author. But, I didn’t care for this movie at all.
Instead of finding Peter Rabbit and his siblings cute and appealing, I thought they were insufferable pests. They elicited zero sympathy.
Beatrix Potter’s works were written for children, but this movie was not. It was crude and violent, in parts, and encouraged mean-spirited mischief. I did not find the rabbits’ antics funny in the least.
