My son and I previewed this movie in the theater and quickly fell in love with the story, the music, and the message! Plus, it is a visually stunning film! I knew as I was watching that this was a movie I wanted to who, we cannot wait to see it again as a full family as my spouse missed out the first time!

In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” Pixar Animation Studios’ 19th feature film, Miguel of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz —despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Through fresh and fascinating bonus material, adventurers of all ages will tag along with filmmakers as they soak in Día de los Muertos in Mexico; explore the essential role of music in “Coco;” and learn how the cast and crew personally connect with the film’s message. They’ll step behind the scenes to discover the inspiration behind the film’s creative costuming; Miguel’s beautifully complicated family; Dante the loyal Xolo dog; and the stunning worlds of both the dead and the living. Director: Lee Unkrich. Starring: Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Renée Victor. And co-directed by my new friend, Adrian Molina! You may remember him from the stage of the Golden Globes when Coco won the 2018 Golden Globe for Best Animated Motion Picture!

One more thing. The music is absolutely wonderful. And one of my favorite songs, which had me sobbing, is from my favorite song writing duo, Golden Globe nominees Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. SIng along!
