What a wonderful day we had with the Kamik footwear family! They hosted several blogger families at Wollman Rink in Central Park for an afternoon of skating, eating, and art-work! And everyone received a pair of their favorite boots to model and keep!
It was wonderful! I chose the Griffon boot. I am now prepared for the coldest of Winters!
This high fashion boot with its rugged style has a -25 degree comfort rating. I hope never to go anywhere where it is colder than that! The boot also has Thinsulate insulation, which also helps to keep my feet warm and comfortable in the worst of conditions! This is a modern work boot, keeping me in style while walking around the city, and also works perfectly when I visit my brother in the country! I love the versatility of this footwear!
The boot comes in black, cognac, and charcoal, I chose black because it is slimming!
My son chose the Yukons Winter boot. Made in North America, this is another high style boot, Kamik’s version of the duck boot. This has a waterproof leather upper and Kamik’s special lightweight rubber shell. Paul chose the tan color. He is very happy with his choice! He now commutes to school across town, so he needs this all weather boot.
Lastly, my son’s friend is modeling the Rogue9 with him. She absolutely loves this boot! This slimming boot is 100% waterproof and also has Thinsulate insulation, also with a -25 degree comfort rating! This makes commuting and outdoor work more comfortable, and works well for folks in NYC who walk to school, not matter what the weather conditions! The Rogue9 also has a textured outsole which offers superior traction in the slippery snow and ice, this is so important!
We also had a delicious lunch and there were art projects for the little kids. And by little kids, I mean my son and his friend. They decorated cookies which I was not allowed to eat, and they also made mugs for their grandparents for the holidays!
I am grateful to have had Kamik host us for a fun day as a family, we all had a blast, in addition to getting boots to prepare us for the harsh Winter, which might be just a few days away!
