Just in Time for the Holidays…the #BearsTakeManhattan!

I was so excited to attend the grand opening of Manhattan store two weeks ago, October 27, 2017. The store opening coincided with the brand’s 20th Birthday celebration! I have had a long and wonderful history with the organization, so I am proud to bring you this sponsored post full of new information on all holiday products – in addition to sharing all of the festivities from the grand opening and birthday celebration last week!

I love all that Build-A-Bear Workshop has to offer. They have all of my favorite characters from Disney, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Paw Patrol – there’s something in the store for everyone! And outfits to match!

The new store is located at 22 W. 34th St., New York, NY 10001, between 5th and 6th and is open Monday through Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m. ET. On Sundays, the store is open beginning at 11 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. ET. The first 20 guests at the grand opening received a 36-inch Champ Bear (which is regularly an online exclusive furry friend)…and WOW, he’s big! I borrowed one to show you JUST how big the bear is – check out my photo below!

The new store features custom New York City signage and wall graphics, a dedicated special party area and an updated look as part of an ongoing company-wide Build-A-Bear Workshop brand refresh. During the store opening last Friday, there were special promotions and activities all day to celebrate.

On social media, fans can still join in the fun welcoming Build-A-Bear Workshop to Manhattan by using the hashtag #BearsTakeManhattan while sharing a photo of their favorite furry friend around the Big Apple. Also, fans everywhere are encouraged to join in the 20th Birthday fun by sharing furry friend photos and tagging Build-A-Bear Workshop on social (no hashtag necessary!).

With the most magical time of year right around the corner, it’s so exciting to know that a Build-A-Bear Workshop is now available right in the heart of New York City!

Thinking about holiday gift ideas? All holiday products are now available in stores and at Build-A-Bear Workshop!

All of Santa’s reindeer are at Build-A-Bear Workshop (including his eight classic reindeer)! Guests can make their own reindeer and dress them in multiple outfits. Each reindeer also come with a free name medallion!

Aren’t these fabulous? And adorable? Because these cuties are , they are the perfect gift for someone you can’t bring in stores to participate in the furry friend making experience.

There are many accessories to pair with this collection as well. A few of the holiday products are available including the Personalized Sweet Buttercream Bear and Christmas Joy Bear.

There are so many accessories to choose from to help dress up your new furry friends.

This fall, I saw the premiere of the My Little Pony: The Movie – which is why I got really excited when I saw the collection of My Little Pony furry friends available in the new Manhattan store!

As a Build-A-Bear Workshop fan and collector (I own the Marvel series of furry friends!), I brought along my own Captain America bear to pose at the new store.

What a terrific way to celebrate this new flagship opening in New York City, and the 20th Birthday celebration of Build-A-Bear Workshop. As a longtime Build-A-Bear Workshop fan, I appreciate how the organization also finds ways to give back.

In honor of the company’s 20th Birthday, Build-A-Bear donated 20,000 teddy bears that will be distributed among two dozen children’s hospitals across the United States. Volunteer coordination for the nationwide donation is powered by United Way, and UPS is serving as the official logistics and shipping partner. Teddy bear deliveries have already begun to hospitals from coast to coast! And, the initiative culminated with a special delivery to patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City by Build-A-Bear Workshop President and Chief Executive Officer Sharon Price John on Thursday, October 26, the day before the company’s 20th Birthday. Each teddy bear was accompanied by a personal message hand-written by representatives of Build-A-Bear, United Way and UPS.

I love working with organizations that give back to the community, especially when that community is made up of kids!

    Our family is just crazy about Build-A-Bear and we visit almost every year. I have 6 grandkids and they have accumulated quite a collection and they are still working on it. I’m guessing they would go for the reindeer this time; but you never know. They love them all.
