This weekend you have a great chance to see the hilarious and fun new Smurfs movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village! Voiced by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, the Smurfs take on a brand new adventure, one that has them leaving their homeland to explore what is beyond their village, heading to a forbidden world!
In this new thrilling, fully animated Smurfs movie, trouble with Gargamel leads our Smurf friends, Smurfette, Hefty, Brainy, and Clumsy on a mysterious journey to find a new land from a hidden map found in Gargamel’s lair! They must reach this surprising new land before the evil wizard, to pre-empt him from performing whatever nefarious scheme he had in mind! Smurfs: The Lost Village Opens This Friday, April 7th!

Smurfette and her friends break papa Smurf’s rules and race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history! What will it be! Perhaps the Lost Village!
This new entry into the Smurfs world is a delight! The children are going to love it, and the parents will enjoy the sense of humor. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, Smurf world is no longer just a deep blue, but you have to see the movie to find out why! As I spoke about last week, the director wanted this to be a movie with adults portrayed as Smurfs, not with childlike voices like we might hear in the TV show.
Voice cast includes Demi Lovato (Smurfette), Rainn Wilson (Gargamel), Joe Manganiello (Hefty), Jack McBrayer (Clumsy), Danny Pudi (Brainy), and Mandy Patinkin (Papa). Also featuring Michelle Rodriguez (SmurfStorm), Ellie Kemper (SmurfBlossom), Ariel Winter (SmurfLily) and Julia Roberts (SmurfWillow), all residents of the title’s Lost Village.
Special voice cameos to include: Gordon Ramsay (Baker), Gabriel Iglesias (Jokey), Tituss Burgess (Vanity), Jeff Dunham (Farmer), Jake Johnson (Grouchy), and director Kelly Asbury (Nosey). Wow, what a crew! Read my celebrity interviews with some of these folks here!
And music by Meghan Trainor as Melody Smurf!
