We own every Star Wars movie in the franchise. There was no question that this new addition would have to be purchased for home viewing multiple times in the coming years. That is an automatic for this series of movies, a series we have loved watching for several decades now! And one that is so interesting and engaging that we are able to watch all of these Star Wars movies multiple times without ever getting bored.
From Lucasfilm comes an epic adventure – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In a period of great conflict, a group of unlikely heroes led by Jyn Erso, a daring fugitive, and Cassian Andor, a rebel spy, band together on a desperate mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. 2016 Lucasfilm Ltd. Cast: Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story picks up the Star Wars saga in between the third and fourth movies. I always want more information and data, so I am glad this movie exists to let me know how things further deteriorated with the Empire, and how the rebellion started to grow. This is also a terrific opportunity to engage our children in conversation, after all, the fourth movie was the first movie ever made in the Star Wars story, the one I grew up with, while most of the younger generation, like my son, were able to start by enjoying the actual first story in the series! This is the only movie franchise that exists with that anomaly, where different generations had far different experiences with this series!
