1. This show is perfect for all ages. My husband and I took our almost 14 year old son with his 14 year old friend. Two jaded NYC teens, and one crabby husband, who doesn’t like anything, joined me on this trip. The boys loved the show and snap chatted it repeatedly during the festivities, and the loudest cheering member of our party turned out to be my husband. My people are a tough crowd to please, and this show was perfect for them! And as an observer of the audience around me, I could see that this show was terrific entertainment for all ages! Enjoy an afternoon or evening with:
– a two-hour live show
– four-course medieval feast
– pure Spanish horses
– authentic sword fighting and jousting
– full bar service
2. The price. It varies depending on your package deal. The experience costs the same as a nice sit down meal. And then you get an almost two hour medieval tournament as entertainment. I wrote about their Spring break special pricing here.
3. The service. The staff at this venue were efficient and hardworking. Timing is everything, they have a lot of people to serve almost instantaneously, and they did a perfect job. They worked so hard and well that is was noticeable by how smooth the dinner service went. Beverages and a multi course meal!
4. The show. We were concerned that this might be some cheesy representation of some olden time jousting contest. Not at all. There were a lot of horses, extremely well trained, playing out a story of Knights trying to win a Princesses heart. There were twists and turns (I will not give any spoilers!), and it was actually very well done, we all agreed! And all of the crowd participated as we all rooted for our particular Knight (there were six)!
Our “hero ” was the red and yellow Knight.
5. I 100% recommend this experience. Dinner and theater for a very reasonable price. I would go back again in a heartbeat. My neighbor later mentioned that his kid had gone their for a birthday party, this is also a terrific experience for any celebration!
We went to the Medieval Times venue in New Jersey. This experience is also available around the country, check the website for locations. Also, I published an article about their Spring Break special pricing for the month of April!
Disclosure: We received complimentary tickets to attend the event. All opinions are 100% honest and our own.
Looks like you guys had an awesome time!
Love the photo! I would love to go back. We had a lot of fun. My daughter wore her crown for days after.
We absolutely loved Medieval Times n New Jersey, Mush was the lucky little lady chosen as the yellow knights princess !
I have not been to the one in New Jersey but went to something very similar in Las Vegas. Lots of fun and very entertaining. I would definitely do it again.
I love dinner and a show.
