A few years ago, computer users noticed that on April Fools Day the # of malware attacks increased all over the world and annually cause a lot of data loss.
In 2011, the Reddit community came up with the idea to have March 31st, the day before April Fools Day, be known as World Backup Day. This is now an industry main day. We have a great opportunity to drive awareness of the importance of backup and protecting data at this time, so we are throwing a Twitter party on March 30th, Thursday, at 9 p.m. EST, to remind you to protect your data!
