As I said earlier, Minecraft is addictive! My son used to play this as often as he could. As a parent I was thrilled for him to be addicted to architecture, building and creating! The Minecraft folks very smartly added some more “grown-up” opportunities into the game. As my son has gotten older, he has started to want to do more than just build, adding battles to the mix has kept this game interesting for him and his friends, especially now that they are teenagers. And this non-violent parent has also had to learn that this is a safer outlet for his teenager’s more aggressive instincts.

It is important that Minecraft is family friendly, and that you can play this with friends. If my child is going to be at home, using video gaming time that I require him to earn, at least he is interacting with his friends. And if I knew what I was doing, I could play this game with him as well!
