The NY Jets hosted my family, along with some other bloggers, at today’s game vs. the LA Rams. It was a phenomenal experience, and I am very grateful to the Jets organization for the experiences we enjoyed. My husband and son really appreciated my job today!
We started by sampling some of the on-site cuisine. The Jets organization has stepped up their food game, no matter how many tailgate parties you have just come from, you will want to try some of the delicious food that greets you as you enter the stadium:
Bacon on a stick, gourmet Asian dumplings, Chinese roast pork, sausage sandwiches, kitchen sink sandwiches, and meatballs in a cup with shaved cheese! This was a dream! My boys seemed busy:
We then toured the area outside the arena where there are free Virtual Reality devices to enjoy for everyone! I was on the field, practicing and playing football (see me hugging the football for dramatic effect below!), without ever having to leave my comfortable seat! And it had a 360 view!
And then we walked around the outskirts of the field as both teams were practicing. Wow. It was a great experience, and I was especially happy I could share that with my son. The below collage are the pictures I took of these Jets who were literally just a few feet away. Watching the warm-up from the sidelines was incredible.
But wait! Before the Jets entered the field for the start of the game, we went back to the locker room area and stood outside! I took a video of the team exiting the locker room, I was only a few feet from the team, this was amazing!
And the game had not even started yet! We were then hosted in the green room ( and had great seats just below that private lounge!), so I may have spent the day watching the game and eating and drinking. You will never know, because I did not take any pictures of that!
Lastly, a day we will never forget. If the voting happens tonight, then I am Dad of the Year (kids have a short memory, so I took a lot of pictures!)! Thank-you NY Jets!
A day in New Jersey at a NY Jets game can be an all day affair, with many activities to do throughout, and great food to be had all over the stadium. We would go back in a heartbeat, and while we could not replicate this experience, we saw many other possibilities. We saw tailgate parties that were going strong more than three hours before game time. We entered the stadium over two hours before game time and could have spent hours more walking around, eating, shopping, and looking at NY Jets memorabilia. There is easily a full days worth of fun to be had, so come out and see a NY Jets game!
Disclosure: The NY Jets hosted my family at today’s game. All opinions are 100% honest and our own.
