I was lucky enough to meet the folks behind Hills Bros. Coffee this past Summer at the Blogger Bash event. They were terrific folks and hosted a great booth. I am a fan of their coffee, and have some interesting things to share with you about it, with the some extraordinary information at the end!
Firstly, they sent me a very generous box of coffee and coffee products. Sometimes I go to sleep dreaming about my morning cup of coffee, so Hills Bros. quickly made a fan out of me!
Donut Shop coffee is one of my favorite types of coffee! I home brew every few days, I put some in the refrigerator for iced coffee, and I drink my other cup hot, first thing in the morning. As I write this article, on a Thursday evening, I am fighting with myself not to brew a fresh cup right now. But I know I would then be up all night!
I also received this container of Columbian coffee, I do alternate days with my Donut Shop coffee!
The rainforest blend is important because sustainable farming is an important key to supporting our planet’s health!
Now lets talk about pods for your coffee maker. Now that many of us have machines to make our quick cup of coffee with a K-cup, our planet is filling up more and more with their leftover plastic. Personally I think compostable should be the law.
These products are a 100% compostable single serve pods that work in any Keurig machine. This is how we can help the planet, by no longer using plastic, which is not recyclable. We need more brands to do this, like Hills Bros., plus, this coffee pod box is made from seed paper and will bloom into a beautiful bouquet!
For more information please visit HillsBros.com. You will see on the site that under the Hills Bros. umbrella are their other famous brands that you may not have known were related:
Chase & Sanborn
Chock full o’Nuts
Hills Bros. Cappuccino
Hills Bros. Hot Cocoa
Kauai Coffee
Krispy Kreme
Master Chef
MJB
Reveille
Segafredo Zanetti
Disclosure: I received a gift bag full of Hills Bros. coffee to facilitate my review, and some other useful goodies as well! All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
I’d love to try the Donut Shop coffee. I’ll have to look for it at the store.
Thanks for the review!
I am so happy to hear about the compostable pods. It bothers me to think of all the plastic being added to our landfills and I hope this encourages other brands to do this.
