We previewed Doctor Strange last week. The movie blew us all away. The special effects were mind boggling. Doctor Strange elevates movies to an entirely new level! At points it was like an M.C. Escher painting on steroids that has come to life.
I have never read the comic book series so I cannot tell you how loyal it is to that story. What I can tell you is that the story line of the movie was fast paced and will have you hooked from the first scene with the Ancient One. The acting by every one is also superb.
From Marvel Studios comes “Doctor Strange,” the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place—a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange—armed with newly acquired magical powers—is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange” opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016.
Again, I never read the Doctor Strange comic books, so before the movie I had to ask a friend if Doctor Strange was a good guy or a bad guy, I had no idea! I can tell you that he was one arrogant fellow! We follow his journey from being a successful doctor to unemployed doctor due to a car accident. He finds out that someone else had healed themselves through some mysterious spirituality and heads east to try to heal his own hands, as his career was over if he could not use them with surgical precision. That is where his own mystical journey begins, and none to soon as a war is coming, the forces of good versus evil go at it yet again, and the life of our planet is at stake! The cinematic journey we take with Doctor Strange is one that I have never experienced before, Marvel has done a spectacular job!
This movie is unlike any I had ever seen before. The special effects blew us all away. The art direction was phenomenal. This is a must see movie!

Jon Spaihts and Scott Derrickson & C. Robert Cargill wrote the screenplay.
Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange” opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016!
Watch this movie break weekend movie records! And do not leave when it is over, there are two Easter eggs in this one, and the second is at the very end of the credits. I will not give up any spoilers, but at this point we all know that Stan Lee makes an appearance in every Marvel movie. I may have yelled when I saw him. And again when we find out what is hanging around Doctor Strange’s neck. Oh yeah, and I loved the red cloak, it is a character all by itself!
