Well if you lived in the 90s to the 2000s, you’d know that there were plenty of unlocked phones around. It’s just a matter of what frequency bands the device supports: GSM (T-Mobile, T&T), CDMA (Verizon, Sprint), etc.
I know this isn’t a technology site, so that explains why some of you, including the readers, are learning some of these things for the first time and are “amazed” by this ad.
For an avid tech guy like me though, I have already read about this particular device before, but still the only one thing I’m interested in would be the camera because they included two 12MP rear cameras in this one device, one being monochromic (black&white), which I don’t think has been done before. The important question is how would that perform. The only way to find out is to either look for photo/video samples online or head to a Best Buy and try the device for ourselves in-store. Only then we can determine the quality of the photos and the speed taking them. Even so, judging from specs, 12MP isn’t so much compared to the whopping 41MP camera on my Nokia Lumia 1020 (a device from 2013).
Also, is this Honor 8 water-resistant? If not, then that’s something they may want to work on. The latest Galaxy phones like the S7 or Note 7 can indeed withstand some water liquids.

That’s really cool that this phone can be used with different carriers. It always bugs me when a phone can’t be switched from one to another. I haven’t heard of this brand before but will look for it at Best Buy.
That’s awesome that it has a fingerprint sensor. I’m about to be in the market for a new phone.
