Voting in a Presidential election, or any election, is super important. That is what my parents instilled in me from a young age, and that is why I take my son with me when I vote.
And this year is extra important because I am scared of who is running, and I am scared at how many people do not vote! We ate at a very fancy restaurant out of town and had three young waiters handling our table. They were great guys, and we brought the subject up to them as Pennsylvania is a swing state. None of them had intended on voting. We did not give our opinion on who to vote for, we just tried to let these young people know that they do have the right to vote, and their vote counts, we all just saw that statement proved in England where folks thought their Brexit vote would not matter, and it sure did!
So on behalf of the Peanuts characters, and how important it is to vote, I share this with you:
Rock the Vote that encourages young voters to participate in TWO elections: one among the Peanuts characters and the other—well, you know, the real one. The action begins today at peanutsrocksthevote.com and continues over at rockthevote.com, where citizens who haven’t yet registered to vote can use RTV’s unique online voter registration tool.
And watch the show!
Everyone needs to vote
