I attended an event last week and was under embargo until now! Samsung has a new phone available this Friday, and only from AT&T! It is the Samsung Galaxy X7 Active, and I saw some incredible things that I am now going to share with you about this extraordinarily tough phone!
This phone is water proof. How do I know? Because I used a garden hose and sprayed it for several minutes with water!
And it is so waterproof that there was a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active in a fish tank with a video playing:
Yes, we had a lot of fun testing the durability of this phone! We even played games, do you remember Plinko? We have a similar game at home called Connect 4, but the theory is the same, except in this case a phone bangs against the inside of the game and then falls into water or sand, and keeps on working!
I was very impressed. Especially because everyone I know drops their phone at some point, this increased durability is key:
This is the first Galaxy phone with a shatter-resistant screen, helping further lessen the chance of damage to the display. (It’s also built to Military-spec, so it has extra protection against water, dust, shock, and temperature.)
One more feature that I find important is battery life: “The phone’s 4,000mAh battery is the largest of any Galaxy S device, providing up to 32 hours of talk time, and can fully charge in less than two hours.” Most days I do not leave home without a phone battery charger. And if I am out with my son for an extended day, I need a separate charger for him. This phone’s greater battery power is important for everyone, especially our kids, I know mine loves to drain the battery with his ridiculous video viewing, which can go on for hours if I allow it (I don’t).

We are a Galaxy family so I’m happy to see this! We force ourselves to wait for a new phone every 2 years, it’s excruciating! This is our year for a new phone, so YAY! Love that it’s waterproof!

Waterproof and shatterproof sound great to me! I can’t tell you how many iPhone screens that I have had to replace. My husband is a Galaxy user and can’t wait for this to hit the shelves.
That sounds pretty cool! To have a phone that is waterproof that would be awesome. My brother accidentally drove into a pool with his phone and had to get a new one because it could not be fixed.

I have always wanted a waterproof phone. I hate being at the beach or lake or pool and worrying about what will happen to my phone.
