The New Kids on the Block Reality Show is a Laugh Riot! #NKOTB #RockThisBoat

I recently interviewed that boy band we all knew and loved, the New Kids on the Block! It was great to see and listen to them after having been a fan for so many years. Meeting childhood favorites at this stage of my life is one of the biggest gifts of being a blogger!

We were there to preview an episode of their reality show, Rock This Boat. The boys have been running cruises for eight years and had started filming the trips last year as part of their reality show. I had no idea of this beforehand, and can only tell you that we previewed an episode and it was hilarious. Those teenage girl fans are now in their 40’s, and still quite rambunctious. And their fandom has now lasted for a few decades, not just a few years. They are avid fans. And they go to great lengths to interact with their beloved New Kids!

And these New Kids are in their 40’s! I first knew them as teenagers, and now they are all settled family men. That was the part of the interviews that we were most interested in, how did they travel with their kids, what advice did they have, etc. The common theme throughout was parenthood. These are dedicated family guys, that was the best take away from the whole day!

The funniest part of being in this blogger group trying to take pictures with the band members, was the fact that this was just like the part of the episode we had screened, where everyone on the cruise gets a celeb picture with the boys, which is grueling on the boat, and started to become grueling in this studio! We became just like the frenzied fans on the boat! It was hysterical!
