It was take your child to work day and my son begged me to RSVP yes to the Converse event so he could get a new pair of sneakers!
Something happens to middle school boys , they become obsessed with sneakers. I thought my son was brand loyal to another company, but when he found out Converse had invited me to attend a Converse event, he demanded that we go! Chuck Taylor was all he could talk about. Did I mention my son is a basketball player?
They had to be high tops, and they had to be white.
If my son is happy, I am happy. Seems like our trip to the Converse event made me a cool dad for at least an hour. I’ll take it! And I am grateful to Converse for picking up a men’s pair for my son, even though the event was for the kids Chuck II:

it is a shame that Converse has not added these comfort improvements to what most kids love to wear, the original converse all star chuck taylor. the way these are so poorly made they are unwearable.
i think spkiking testosterone levels and girls make most boys sneaker freaks, plus their feet are growing..
if he really like converse go to EBAY type in classic or vintage converse and buy him a pair of American made converse. which are extinct, and he will see and feel the difference.
