Daddy’s Home on Blu-ray/DVD/HD Digital!"Daddy's Home, Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg"I am so excited for this release! I previewed and reviewed the movie last year, my son and I loved it! It is hilarious, with a very poignant story line. The issues of this family are quite relevant for today’s households, many of which are mixed: remarriages, step kids, all different combinations. I love how the journey of the two dads in this movie is portrayed, and I also feel it is very important to show my own child that families come in all different looks, sizes, and combinations. After all, he is in the minority in our neighborhood by having two dads, but there are so many different types of family’s where we live, that no one notices anyone else’s differences!

In Daddy’s Home, Will Ferrell is the step dad in the household with Mark Wahlberg’s ex-wife, played by Linda Cardellini ( we loved her as Scooby Doo’s Velma, and in many other roles!). Will works overtime trying to be the best dad he can be in this instant family situation, even referencing a book on how to accomplish this goal. The fun starts when Mark Wahlberg comes for a visit and is obviously jealous that this other man is parenting his biological kids. Hilarity ensues as the two men become very, very competitive in trying to be the best father to these two kids. Here is how far Will’s character went to be the nest dad by celebrating Christmas in April, with some outrageous presents!

This is a recipe for many fun moments, and is also a road to self discovery for the two men. My son and I previewed the movie right before it’s theater release, and we laughed the whole time! That’s why I am thrilled to be getting my own copy, with Digital download, I love watching funny movies when I fly!

Lastly, after our movie preview, we interviewed all the stars of the movie. Which is not easy with Will Ferrell on the dais. He was as entertaining with his wise cracks during the interviews, as he is in the movie. And Mark Wahlberg was sitting right next to him and continued to be the perfect foil, and had some funny moments as well!
