ABC Family’s first procedural drama, “Stitchers,” follows Kirsten, a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron, a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie, a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus, a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten’s roommate, Camille, a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a ‘stitcher.’
This is a behind the scenes picture I took at Comic Con where I met the entire cast of Stitchers. I am a huge fan of this show, and have been since the very first episode, so it was a real treat to interview the cast and take pictures with them.
This is a modern science fiction show. Modern because it could very well be present day, or as Producer Jeffrey Alan Schecter says, “10 Minutes Ahead.” Some of the technology could be in the works right now, or something very similar. This is also a suspenseful crime drama, and the cast is terrific!
“Stitchers” is executive-produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter (“Overruled!”), Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta as Kirsten Clark, Kyle Harris (“Carrie Diaries”) as Cameron Goodkin, Ritesh Rajan (upcoming “Jungle Book” feature) as Linus Ahluwalia, Salli Richardson-Whitfield (“Eureka,” “I Am Legend”) as Maggie Baptiste, and Allison Scagliotti (“Warehouse 13”) as Camille Engelson.
Salli and Allison were on the SyFy channel on long running shows, Eureka and Warehouse 13. I watched those shows and was a huge fan of these ladies before Stitchers, and before I got to meet them. I was so happy to see them in this series, and working together again! Again, because as Salli reminded me, they had a few cross over episodes.
I will have more for you before season two, but for now I hope you will join me and tune into the Halloween special on Tuesday October 20, which does move the story line forward, so we will not find out what happened to Cam! Here is a sneak peak:
