Magic Mike XXL Arrives onto Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on October 6 or Own It Early on Digital HD on September 22.

Picking up the story three years after Mike (played by Channing Tatum) bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.

I saw the movie as a member of the Fandango Ambassador team just before it was released. I thought it was terrific. So terrific that I planned on purchasing it, it is a movie I can see over and over again. The music was terrific, the dancing was great, and I loved the story line.

And if you think, OK, the gay guy loved a movie about male strippers, than I offer up to you the fact that all the reviews out at the time, corroborate what I am writing. Stripping is secondary to this story of a group of guy friends on a road trip. The story is interesting, the music is terrific, and the artful dancing is a pleasure to watch. And nothing can beat the scene with Michael Strahan, of Kelly & Michael fame, the ABC talk show, when he does a routine in the movie. He was phenomenal. And now I am going to get a review copy for free, I am doubly excited (disclosure)!

Feel the magic and make it rain when “Magic Mike XXL” arrives onto Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on October 6 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Emmy® Award winner Gregory Jacobs (“Behind the Candelabra”) directed “Magic Mike XXL,” which reunites Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias – the stars of the 2012 worldwide hit “Magic Mike.”

Joining the returning cast, in brand new roles, are Amber Heard (“The Rum Diary”), Donald Glover (TV’s “Community”), Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss (“Step Up Revolution”) and Michael Strahan (TV’s “Live with Kelly and Michael”), with Andie MacDowell (“Footloose”), Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games” franchise) and Jada Pinkett Smith (TV’s “Gotham”).

“Magic Mike XXL” is directed by Gregory Jacobs who served as a producer on “Magic Mike” as well as numerous other features in a long-running collaboration with Steven Soderbergh. The film is produced by Nick Wechsler, Gregory Jacobs, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin, with a screenplay by Carolin. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film, served as executive producer.

“Magic Mike XXL” will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $44.95, and includes the film in high definition on Blu-ray disc, a DVD and a digital version of the movie in Digital HD with UltraViolet. Fans can also own “Magic Mike XXL” via purchase from digital retailers.
