We have a Comic-Con in NYC but it is nowhere near the size of the annual one in San Diego! The pictures from my blog and celebrity friends all over Facebook make me crazy with envy! And of course it makes sense since so many celebs live in Southern California, going a little further south to San Diego is not as big a deal as schlepping all the way to New York!
And there is just not enough room here to do what they do in California:
So, I have to live vicariously through the pictures and the stories, but at least the videos get released right away, and this behind the scenes look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens must have caused a minor earthquake when the fans first saw it in San Diego!
“Fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H were treated to a special look behind the scenes of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS by Director J.J. Abrams, Producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Writer Lawrence Kasdan. The filmmakers were joined on stage by cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to the surprise and delight of fans.”
And like the rest f the world, I got quite excited to see a picture of that amazing trio from the Star Wars series that I grew up with:
All in all, a very exciting time for us all as we eagerly await the newest Star Wars movie arriving in theaters in December. I suspect any recent movie theater attendance records will be broken and we will see some cinematic history being made, stayed tuned to the blog to see where I end up and who I get to interview by the end of the year!

I am super excited about the new Star Wars movie, and eagerly consume every scrap they release to us. I hope to someday be able to make it to an SDCC, it’s a bucket list item. Until then, I go to the comic-cons that they host in the cities where I live. I’ve been to the Dallas one many times, but now I live in Seattle. I’ve heard the Emerald City Comic-Con is a pretty big deal, so I look forward to next year.
