@ABCFamily’s “The Fosters” is Back Tomorrow Night! @TheFostersABCF #TheFosters

I met several of the actors and actresses from this series last December. I had heard great things about the show but had never seen it. I finally turned on ABC Family and caught up in early January. I instantly fell in love with the show!

Same sex parents, adopted kids, foster kids, the messages coming from this show were wonderful, heartwarming, and full of love. I related as we are a same sex couple raising an adopted child. The family represented in this show are people we have in all parts of our own loves, same sex parents, folks who foster, and others who adopt. Most importantly, this show helps our son who did not ask to be born into a family that wasn’t the “norm,” but thankfully is becoming more mainstream. And publicizing the various forms of how families are made these days in America helps him. The more different families that surround us, the more we are all the same because this is no longer a homogenous society!

Now I hang on every episode, anxiously waiting for what the next week will bring! And I am especially nervous for this new season: who was hurt in that car crash? What will happen with that kiss between Lena and her boss? And poor Maia Mitchell, will her character ever find happiness and stability! Find out Monday, June 8th at 8 pm EST!

I am thrilled to have met Maia Mitchell (Callie Quinn Jacob), Cierra Ramirez (Mariana Adams Foster), and David Lambert (Brandon Foster) during the ABC Family press trip they had to NYC! They were happy to hear how much their show helps my family in real life!
