I was thrilled to open the door the other day to find two big bags of fun stuff from Crayola! So fun that I thought I would share the items and my thoughts about growing up (I mean my son) with this brand and how we still love it!
The above Virtual Design Pro kit is something I already reviewed here. Still perfect for my son in his tweens, and also, a great collection of writing implements! For you see, we are considering applying to a High School based on Paul’s love of art, so he is already sketching with the wonderful colored pencils included here. He is also taking a set of these to sleep away camp for additional work, drawing soothes my savage beast at night, especially because he will be missing me so much!
Chalk everywhere! Even now my son will sometimes take a break from running around outside with his pals to show off his art on the floor, luckily we live in an area with a lot of ground where it is OK to chalk it up!
My son continues to use this. And Crayola’s version is less expensive than the version at the art shop my son drags me to on 23rd Street!
More fun stuff for outside the house. Anything that gets the kids away from the TV and outdoors gets a huge thanks from all of us parents!
I will forever love these books! We never went out to a restaurant, or on a trip , without these to keep Paul busy. And there is something for everyone, especially for the younger brother who can’t play with his older brother’s Skylanders video games! He can still have his own Skylanders here!
First, we have not gone through one school year where there are not five items from Crayola listed as must have items for us to buy for the kids classroom. And, it is still on his new list for 7th grade. Thank-you Crayola from saving me from a trip to the store, I usually bargain hunt for these items when my son is at camp.
Again, I love how Crayola has branched out from just crayons, that’s all there was when I was a kid, which seems like last century. Oh yeah, that is when it was!
Since this is something new, even to me, I am going to share this video that my friend Maria did for Time to Play Mag:

Disclosure: I received all of the following items as a gift. No further compensation was received. All opinions are always 100% honest and out own.

I did not know Silly Putty was a Crayola product. Have you shown Paul the trick of flattening the Silly Putty on the Sunday comics to pull the image off onto the putty? It’s a classic! I think you are going to have the best neighborhood chalk art in NYC!

What a wonderfully complete set of art supplies. I am not much of an artist but I know people that are love to experiment with different mediums and styles so this would be wonderful.
