We are thrilled to be participating in yet another Star Wars related campaign, the second of three different Star Wars products we have on our agenda, and hopefully that will increase! You might remember just the other day I filmed my son using The Force to pause the Episode 5 so he could get a snack!
My family are some of the first consumers and fans invited to try the new Star Wars Cereal from General Mills! This cereal brings The Force to our family’s table and we love that! And, you can Download a $1 OFF coupon now!
The whole family will love this fun, fruity cereal with marshmallows which contains whole grains, does not contain high fructose corn syrup, is a good source of calcium and vitamin D, and only has 9g of sugar per serving! I am very happy there is no high fructose corn syrup in here, my son and I have discussed that other countries do not even allow it in their foods!
Every few months, fans will be able to find two new characters on the front of the boxes. The current packages feature Yoda and Darth Vader (with the same cereal in each box) with a fun trivia on the back of one box and a board game on the back of another. Anything that gets my son’s eyes off of the TV while he is eating breakfst is perfect in my book!
Some have breakfast parties with this new cereal! Ours is more like an all day eatnog fest!
My son was excited to explain what each shape of the individual pieces of cereal where, and what each box had on the back:
Marshmallows “Marbits” are in 6 fun shapes
• Yoda (green)
• R2-D2 (blue and white)
• Jedi Fighter (pink/red)
• Stormtrooper (white)
• Lightsaber (blue)
• Lightsaber (red)
Corn pieces are in 3 fun shapes
• TIE Fighter
• X-Wing Starfighter
• Millenium Falcon
Yoda Package
• Has a quiz on the back of the package for fans to test their Star Wars knowledge
Darth Vader Package
• Has a board game on the back of the package for fans to play as they enjoy their delicious cereal
I then returned from an event and found that my spouse had eaten the rest of the box as his post dinner snack. This is a delicious breakfast cereal but it seems it can be eaten all day long!
Have your kids seen all the Star Wars movies, or just some of them? As a fifty something man who was raised on Episodes 4,5,6, it was weird to introduce my son to the series staring from Episodes 1,2,3. Chronological seemed t make sense at the time! And my question to you is, what side of The Force are you on? Just yesterday my son had identified with R2D2, while I was leaning in favor of Darth Vader. The dark side just seems more fun! Please leave me a comment and tell me which side of The Force you and your family members are on! These are the types of discussions that arise when you have Darth Vader and Yoda on your cereal box. And that is a good thing, it is important for families to talk at meals, no matter what the subject! I have a tween and I am thrilled any time he talks to us!
So hurry and buy these collectible boxes as soon as you see them, they are only out for a few months before they are replaced with some other new and fun Star Wars characters! Between June 2015 and June 2016, you will be able to collect 6 limited edition boxes featuring different characters. The boxes will come out in pairs and each will feature a “light side” and “dark side” character. Download the $1 OFF coupon now!
