I was thrilled to be chosen to review Samsung’s latest robot vacuum:
Samsung Robot Vacuums
◦Extreme Suction-CycloneForce’s strong centrifugal force separates dirt and debris into an outer chamber. So it maintains suction power by keeping the filter clean with less clogging.
–Because how often do you expect me to clean anything by myself! Maintaining suction power is one of the most important facets of any vacuum cleaner, robot or not.I have had vacuums that barely picked up the dirt. I need something with the staying power of this machine’s suction.
◦Cleans even more-Has a wider brush, so it can clean larger areas with less movement.
–Otherwise, I might as well have to vacuum myself, and that defeats the whole purpose of having this robot working for me!
◦Comprehensive Scan-An upgraded, high-performance Full View Sensor comprehensively locates even very narrow or small obstacles across a wide area. Fewer blind spots, it can navigate safely around an entire room.
–Firstly, we are required to cover 80% of our floors with rugs. Secondly, I can never see half the dirt that is on the floor. Thirdly, now that I have a child, cleanliness is of great importance. He is allergic to dust, we are both allergic to pollen, this device got here in the nic of time! And once you watch the robot vacuum in action (see below), you can see how exacting the sensors are. This little guy is very meticulous, he does not let one inch of surface area get away from him. It is pretty remarkable to watch this guy in action.
◦Point and Clean-A Point Cleaning controller lets you guide it to clean dusty spots.
–Picture me sitting on the couch, watching TV, guiding my hard working robot vacuum! And it is easy to guide him to the dirt, we generally look at it every day as we pass it by! That ends now thanks to this new worker in the house!
◦Wheels that smoothly move over-Easy Pass wheels easily overcome most obstacles, so it will keep working while you’re not there.
–Again, we have both rugs and wood floors. This brings to mind those remote control toys that we have had over the years that could never transition from one surface to another. I love how my new robot can move wherever he wants. Yes, mine is a “He!” And again, you can see below how he seamlessly moves from wood floor to carpet, to wood floor, to rug.
◦Fast, efficient cleaning-A Visionary Mapping plus System finds and leads it around the optimal path for the fast-track cleaning. Using its 10 sensors and on board digital camera it creates a complete map of your house and calculates the most efficient cleaning path.
–I have to be honest, I am glad this guy is efficient, maybe I can learn from him!
◦Clean How You Like-7 Cleaning Modes let you choose the best way to clean in different situations. It has 4 styles of cleaning, including auto, spot, max and manual modes, scheduling modes and a dust sensor mode.
–We are still testing out all our modes. For now I am thrilled to let this guy go and just vacuum the entire house all day! Then for follow up, I set him up in our long hallway where the bedrooms are. That hallway gets dirty daily so I can set this fella up to spot clean the hallway rug every single day!
•Always Charged-automatically-When the battery gets low it automatically moves to the docking station to recharge itself, before resuming cleaning.
–Because you know that every time I go to a battery charge device it is out of juice. Then I have to charge it before I use it when I did not plan on that extra time. This self charging feature is huge for someone as forgetful/rushed as I am! We had a free plug by our window, and we set the charger right up against our ottoman and it blends right in! This is his new home, he comes back for recharging all on his own without us guiding him! No plugging him in, he does it all himself.
This guy is thorough!

Ok, I need a robot to vacuum my home. That sounds just perfect. We have a Samsung fridge and freezer and I think it is quite appropriate to get a great Samsung robot next!
I didn’t realize Samsung had entered this market. I used to have a Roomba, but it broke after a few months. That was a while back, so I’m sure the tech is better today.
I had one of the first vacuum robots and loved it. It did have it’s faults and it looks like Samsung has addressed them. Love all the new enhancements. Think it is time to take a look at this little baby.
Yes please!! I’ve seen these around and never thought about it much, but boy do I wish I had one now that we got two new puppies with lots of hair!!
